Effective Use of Technology in Schools

Sign up or log in to save this to your schedule, view media, leave feedback and see who's attending!

This course will focus on the evaluation of technology in the classroom and how it relates to the evaluation of teachers. It is designed to provide administrators with the ability to walk into a classroom and know the difference between a teacher using technology as a lesson enhancer, not just using it to say they are using it.  Participants will be able to identify and understand engaging, authentic, and observable technology infused lessons, and the many possible effective uses of technology to support instruction.  This course will also give participants a better understanding of how technology is changing the educational landscape and what they need to do to be change leaders in the area of technology integration.  Participants will be able to talk about current and future technology trends.  Participants will leave this course with the ability to formulate a long term action plan that will guide their school/district's technology implementation, in the areas of equipment, professional development, and staffing.
