Solving Human Problems Through Virtual Field Trips & The Engineering Design Process

Participants in this session will actively engage in the Engineering Design Process through a virtual field trip to the Brookfield Zoo. Emphasis will be on using three dimensional learning to solve a real human problem. This session targets NGSS: 1LS1 "Use materials to design a solution to a human problem by mimicking how plants and/or animals use their external parts to help them survive, grow, and meet their needs." However, practices can be applied at any grade level.
