The New STEM Education: Students as Creators

This workshop meets at 1871, the digital entrepreneurship incubator in Chicago's Merchandise Mart. Participants will learn the keys to engaged student learning facilitated through the lens of real world entrepreneurship experiences. IMSA;s Entrepreneurship program, TALENT, meets at 1871 on Wednesdays where students intern with digital startups and work on their own business ideas. Combined, face to face and remote opportunities enable students to develop life-long entrepreneurial mindsets and skills. IMSA is a partner with 1871, bringing high school students into the STEM startup pipeline in Illinois. This workshop explores all facets of the TALENT extra-curricular program that fills the high school entrepreneurship gapthat schools may adopt and adapt. Lunch will be provided. All registrats for this workshop will receive an email with further details on the location prior to the workshop.
