Makerspace Roadmap

Sign up or log in to save this to your schedule and see who's attending!

Sometimes learning needs to get messy so that students can experiment with tools and materials. That experimentation often leads to innovation, which leads to excited and engaged students. We now call those innovative spaces makerspaces and they can be big or small, in a dedicated room, or on a travelling cart. Learn about the many choices for creating or expanding a makerspace that uses high and low technology and the principles of STEM/STEAM to wow your students. Experience a variety of tools and projects from simple 3D modeling, circuitry, and structural engineering, to advanced soldering, sewing, and robotics. Leave with your own simple creations that you can reproduce inexpensively in your classroom.
